About Possum’s Pottery and Sewing

Hi, I’m Fiona — or Possum, as many friends call me. I’m originally from Australia, and creativity has always been part of my life. I started learning pottery in 2022 and quickly fell in love with making cups, bowls, vases and other pieces. I enjoy experimenting with shapes, colours and glazes, and all my pottery is handmade and designed to be both beautiful and practical.

I also love sewing and fabric projects. Over the years I’ve re?covered cushions, made outdoor seat covers and created bento?style shopping bags. I enjoy the whole process — from choosing fabrics to adding the finishing touches.

I’m still exploring where this creative journey will take me, but for now I’m simply enjoying making things that bring a bit of colour and joy into everyday life.

“I make my pottery in small batches, and at the moment I’m not selling pieces online. I do have a few small items available at the Reading Museum Gift Shop, though. For now, I’m enjoying learning, experimenting and sharing my progress — and I hope to offer more work for sale in the future.”

“I’m planning to open an Etsy shop soon for my handmade bento bags. I’m still setting things up, but I’ll share the link here as soon as it’s ready.”
